Livie was a plain brindle bitch with a black face. She took what seemed like a very long time to finish her Canadian Championship, being beat many times by inferior flashy competition because she was “plain”. She finished quite quickly in the US as she was shown “selectively” under breeder judges and handled expertly by Terry Agle. Livie was specialed by her owner for a short time in Canada and had some very nice wins, among them are 2 Group firsts.

We are proud of our Livie, she continued her winning ways in the whelping box. She produced only one litter in her short life.
The litter consisted of 4 puppies. One fawn boy, with natural ears, went to a pet home. He was lovely and could have finished, but the right home came along before a show home, and we felt he would be happy there. There were two flashy brindle boys. One of which we kept. The litter was sired by Can/Am Ch Golden Haze Tuxedo. We call the pup we kept Ridge. Watch for him. We hope he will carry on for his mom and his dad. He has a pedigree to die for.
There was also one very plain, very black brindle girl in the litter. She went to live in Brandon, Manitoba with her dad. She now lives with Ken and Joyce Lee and daughter Crystal. This girl is known as Hussy and is now Ch Bellcrest Wanton Woman, congratulations to her owners and co-owner, Sharon Simpson.

We lost Livie at just 4 years of age to Lymphosarcoma. We were devastated at her loss, and miss her to this day. She was truly a great bitch and did not have time to fulfil her destiny. Perhaps her son Ridge can do it for her, time will tell.
Livie's litter sister, Carly, went to live with the Hornes or Syrr Run Boxers in SC. She has made a significant contribution to the breed.
